Prime Minister Kretschmann is moved by Trapizio

Thursday, 21 June: Today is another very special day for Trapizio and everyone involved in the “Route 12” project: The visit by a dignitary from the German Federal State of Baden-Württemberg has been announced. The Prime Minister of Baden-Württemberg, Winfried Kretschmann, is on an official visit to Schaffhausen/Neuhausen, accompanied by a large delegation of specialists. The purpose of his visit is to foster the collaboration between Schaffhausen and Baden-Württemberg. Needless to say that no one among the delegation would want to forgo the chance of combining this visit with a ride on Route 12 in order to gain a first-hand picture of what trend-setting autonomous mobility really looks like in the field of regular public transport.

CNN visits Trapizio!

Thursday, 7 June: Today is yet another great day for the self-driving Shuttle Trapizio and the representatives of Trapeze, AMoTech, VBSH and the Canton of Schaffhausen. In connection with the “Formula-E” racing spectacle to be held in Zürich on 10 June 2018, the news station CNN wishes to shoot a short story about Trapizio in Neuhausen for its program “Supercharged.” This broadcast focuses not only on the Formula-E race itself, but also on electrical mobility in general. As Trapizio is 100% electrically powered, and in addition travels automated, a story about Route 12 of the public transport operator of Schaffhausen – VBSH – appears to be a must in the program, which is broadcast on a monthly basis.

Trapizio has now moved his 5000th passenger!

Since the end of March Route 12 is officially integrated into the regular service of Verkehrsbetriebe Schaffhausen (VBSH). Since then, the self-driving shuttle is making its rounds in the center of Neuhausen - always occupied with a trained attendant. On weekdays (Monday to Saturday) the route is operated for four hours and on Sundays and public holidays for eight hours.

Trapizio now officially in service in public streets!

At last the time has come: Since Tuesday, 27 March 2018, Trapizio has officially been integrated in the regular services of the public transport authority of Schaffhausen VBSH. To communicate this milestone and to celebrate this special occasion, a media conference is being held today in Neuhausen am Rheinfall.

Trapizio at the IT-TRANS in Karlsruhe

IT-TRANS, the important trade fair for smart public passenger transport solutions, took place in Karlsruhe from 6 – 8 March. Needless to say that Trapizio was also part of the action at such a major event: In a cordoned-off area in front of the exhibition hall, it made its rounds during three days and was thus once again in the spotlight.

Trapizio undercover in Zurich

Until the end of February, our driverless vehicle will be in Zurich, about 50 kilometres from home in Neuhausen. The reason for this is that Verkehrsbetriebe Zürich (VBZ) have borrowed Trapizio for testing. To this end, they have temporarily renamed our automated vehicle and also given it a new look.

Trapizio attracts much attention in Berlin

Trapizio, the autonomous bus of AMoTech, makes its first long trip. For a presentation, it travelled to Berlin at the end of July. Trapizio is being borrowed by the public transport authority of Berlin (Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe, BVG) for a presentation to a large audience in Berlin on Monday, 31 July as part of a project.
